Manila Trip Report

I just returned from five days in Manila. Not much I can tell you about LBs there, as I couldn't find any (not easily at least). It's my first trip, and had a great time. Rather than a blow-by-blow report (so to speak) I’ll give you my assessment of some of the Manila resources (ahem!). Caution: Your experiences may vary

Is Manila Safe? The first thing you will notice in Manila is that most restaurants, bars, massage parlors ask you to check your guns (plural!) at the door, and have a graphic depiction of a gun. It is also advised that you not bring in drugs. Draw your own conclusions

Jay R.: I hired a driver named Jay R. who had been recommended on another site (I'm not so sure about this any more) to pick me up at the airport (I was warned of kidnappings) and drive me to the Mandarin Oriental (MO is girl friendly – in fact they seem to encourage getting friendly with the girls). I had brought two old GSM phones from home just for running around, and/or giving to GFs. On the way from the airport I had Jay R. pick me up a Philippines SIM card for my phone for only 2300P plus another 650P to repair a stuck key (more on this later). On the way, JR asked me if I liked university girls. Uh. Sure. Young, articulate, cute. Why not? So he wants to sell me on a 16 year old (is this legal?) but then stopped at the dormitory for some other introductions. Oops. He meant “Dormitory” which is, in fact, the name of a brothel on an industrial site. Seems there’s no university; probably just an oversight. Girls (4-6 range) only 4000P for the night (no ST). Nothing I liked so went to the hotel to shower. The rest of the evening, I ran around and learned the ropes with Jay R.; I had to pester him to take me to the L.A. Caf?, as he was convinced that the girls there were spiking drinks, stealing phones and other typical bargirl stuff. But I persisted.

L.A. Caf?: Welcome to Bottom-Feeders’Paradise (check your handguns at the door). It was packed. I wasn’t quite prepared for the variety of ‘talent’ and ‘clientele’ at L.A.C. Guys ranged from 20-something Joe College to 70-80 year old geezers gone to seed, in cutoffs, sleeveless T-shirts, and hairy tattoos. Girls – well you name it. Semi-feral LBFM fresh off the plantation; hardened street urchins tarted up for quick sale; Street meat well past its shelf life; Piercing and tattoos galore. A little spicy for my blood, but I tried out some of the talent despite my better judgment. I wasn’t disappointed – she was shopworn, nail-hard and managed to steal my 3000+P phone within hours after I’d connected to Philippines service.

Harrison Plaza: Perhaps I wasn’t ready for the L.A. Caf? (I am a neophyte, cherry almost intact). The next day, I figured Harrison, with its reported Sunday afternoon ‘schoolgirl’ talent would be just the prescription I needed for my L.A. Caf? hangover. Went to the second floor which – by the way – is all mobile phone shops – there must be 50 of them. I happened to have my second ‘throwaway’ phone with me, so asked the first shop for a Philippines phonecard. No problem, just 200P. Whaaat? 200P? What if I have a problem with the phone? You know, like keys sticking? No problem, they’ll clean the contacts for free if I buy their card. I buy the card, which is exactly the same one that Jay R. purchased (same box). So did Ms L.A. Caf? steal 3000+P from me, or just 200P (in which case I need to question Jay R. about his ‘tip’). Enough moral conundrums; on to mongering. In addition to phoneshops on the second level, all of the tarts like to hang over the railing. There are touts too, but why bother since the tarts are clearly visible. Like the ‘Dormitory’ there wasn’t a schoolgirl in sight (I quizzed most of them) but plenty of old leches talking them up. Mostly rough trade, tattoos and all. Well, at least I got my phone fixed.

Robinson Place: Now we’re cooking. Indeed there seem to be some ‘nice’ girls looking for companions here. Nice looking ‘nice’ girls. Got some numbers. Didn’t do anything with them (I was busy).

Grand Boulevard Hotel: Right across from the promenade downtown along Roxas, this is a grand hotel that has faded from its former glory, and is forced to occupy a market niche in the seamier trades if only to keep its doors open. All the shops have closed, but there is a casino, and a lobby perpetually occupied by dodgy types, with who knows what going on on the floors above. All I know is that on the 8th floor is Skyline. It reminded me of the Ismaelova Hotel in Moscow (off Ismaelovski park) a humongous Soviet era hotel, now owned by the Georgian Mafia, and well stocked (by the same) with girls from Turkmenistan and elsewhere. The lifts are perpetually wallpapered with ‘Dosug’ post-it notes with contact numbers. In the case of the Ismaelova, there must be 2000 rooms of service. Ahh memories. Back to Manila. The Skyline is a massage parlor; great idea, as they have all of these grand old rooms to use for, well, massage. Paid my 1000P room rent, and selected my catch from the fishbowl. This is something of an Asian thing, picking girls from a fishbowl; sort of like selecting your dinner from the aquarium in a Chinese sea palace. I like a bar where I can chat a girl up first (even if English is her second language and thinking a forgotten art). I picked a short girl with a great figure and OK face. Once we were in the room, I had a bit of a chance to explore her body; outstanding with ohhhh-soooo-suckable firm breasts, mounded with elegant puffies, lush twat, muscular legs, a perfect ten. A little young though; I could have sworn she was in her teens, despite assurances she was 20. She did give a great massage, but was a bit wary of sex because of my size (about 9 inches which is big for an Asian). She was really scared of being hurt, but came twice quickly; a bit of a turn-on even if it wasn’t the best sex. I came back again and had almost an identical experience with another girl. I give the Skyline an A- and with a little searching for more experience it could get an A+. All this and comparatively cheap.

Imperial Spa: After the Grand Boulevard, the Imperial was a letdown. It also was an old hotel, but certainly never grand. The rooms are little better than closets, with beds that look (and feel) like hospital gurneys with tattered linen. My shower only ran cold water – kind of a letdown in advance given the reason I was there. All this for 2000P for 2.5 hours (plus tip, figure double). I chose my masseuse, a good looking girl who in fact gave a lousy massage; her poor performance in that category was only exceeded by a distinctly unprofessional BJ and consistent whining about her period (yuch!).

In room massage: Lots of cards for these being passed around shopping centers like Glorietta. For around 500-1000P you get in room service (my experience was very good with Elvira), and an extra tip for, well, extra. This can be very comfortable, and you don’t have to miss any TV shows – like Sex in the City.

Non-hanky-panky spas: I went to one other spa on Roxas that was just straight massage, and it was great; only 600P. You get a girl who scrubs you down (just like elephants in the zoo). And another girl that massages the hell out of you. It’s worth checking these out if you want to unbundle services.

EDSA Complex: EDSA is a lot of fun. I liked the Cotton Club and Firehouse the best (they’re bigger) but the other bars can be fun too. In general the girls are chatty; it’s easy to collect numbers to call later (there are so few customers, and so many girls, that they come running whenever you give them a call). Tip! ‘Up to you!’ I spent all day with two girls from the Cotton Club alternately fucking one while the other made sure I was comfortable with a massage. Who needs a spa?

Other Roxas Boulevard Bars: I went to some other bars – Lookers, East Asia, etc. – on my first night. More to Asian tastes with the (once again) fishbowl approach to selecting girls. Except that the categorizations of ‘superstars’, ‘stars’ and so forth defies any meaningful analysis at these places. Not my cup of tea.

White Top: I also forayed into White Top, a gay bar. No problems, as they immediately saw that I was a tourist. It was a bit ironic to see scantily clad guys (my own species) cooped up inside a fishbowl waiting for consumption (guess who’s coming to dinner).

P. Burgos: Lots of streetwalkers, if you are into instant gratification. Around 500-1000P for girls much better looking than anything that might crawl into the L.A. Caf?. The bars can get expensive here, so best to just collect numbers and call the next day. How easy this is depends on the mama-san. Some places try to corner you in a private room, then shake you down for a few dozen drinks (well, a bit more subtle than that, but you get the idea). On the other end are places like Rascals, and Tingles (I think that’s the name) where the mama-sans are social, and girls more relaxed. Quality of girls is similar to EDSA, but the bars seem more tightly run. There were not many customers anytime I was there (nor were there at EDSA). I suspect that the aggressive behavior is annoying many of their customers. There seemed to be many so Western guys at the Mandarin Oriental draping LBFMs over one arm. They just weren’t selecting them from the P.Burgos bars.
